St. Ann School
After-School ExtraCare Teacher
St. Ann School, located at 5105 Charlotte Avenue in
Nashville, has an opening for an After-School ExtraCare
Teacher. This position is part-time, 16 hours/week,
Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on days
when school is in session.
Primary functions of this position are to implement and
supervise the activities of children between the ages of
six and nine. Position involves organized activities,
along with designated snack and homework times for the
students. The Teacher assists the Director and other
counselors in preparing and providing an enriching
program for children. Helps with behavior management and
communicates with Director and parents regarding any
behavioral problems which may arise. Aids in maintaining
student records required by the program and the State
Department of Education.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Prefer prior experience in working with and
supervising children

Dependable and reliable
-
Good interpersonal skills with co-workers, parents,
and children
-
Good general health with light lifting and ability
to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to create a fun, enthusiastic environment
while maintaining program order and discipline
