Father Tomy Joseph, M.S.F.S., pastor of St. Joseph Church in Madison, in the first set of photos 1-12, leads parishioners on a procession from the church around the parish property on Sunday, May 29, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi. Father Michael Baltrus, photos 13-48, pastor of St. Patrick Church in McEwen, leads his parishioners on a procession from the church through the center of the town to commemorate Corpus Christi. Such processions are traditional devotions on the feast day. “All that I will ever be is contained in this sacrament that is Jesus Christ,” Father Baltrus told his parishioners during his homily at the Mass before the procession. “The sacrament of the body and blood of Christ is pure love. … Christ is showing his precious love for me.” Click on a photo to start slideshow.
