Saint Henry School in Nashville, serving 705 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, seeks an experienced, innovative, and passionate English teacher for our 7^th and 8^th grade. This teacher must be willing to work hard to bring learning to life and collaborate with a highly qualified professional learning community in a supportive school environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design a curriculum in line with the Diocese of Nashville Curriculum Guide vertically aligned with seventh and eighth grades and plan lessons that are engaging, deepen understanding and critical thinking, and are integrated with technology
• Work collaboratively with the team of teachers and partner with parents to communicate student successes and areas of growth

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
2. Valid TN Teaching License with English Credential and/or Multiple Subject Credential
3. Experience with differentiated instruction
4. Strong Classroom Management Skills
5. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
6. Technology skills and ability to integrate technology into the instructional experiences

PREFERRED:

1. Experience teaching English at the middle school level
2. Active Catholic
3. Masters or other Advanced Degree
