St. Ignatius Catholic Church located at 601 Bell Road, Antioch,  is looking for an accompanist to play piano for mass with a cantor and/or choir on Sunday morning a couple of times a month.

Masses are at 8 AM and 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings and this position may occasionally need someone to play at the 5:30 PM Saturday mass. The schedule can be somewhat flexible as to which weekends need coverage.

This person would need to be available for Wednesday choir rehearsals from 7 PM – 9 PM during peak seasons of Christmas and Easter.

The person applying for this job must be skilled and technically proficient on the piano, strong sight reading skills; experience working with people in large and small group situations is helpful, and should be able to run parts and rehearse when the director is gone.

Sight-reading should be proficient, but doesn’t have to be perfect as music is planned months in advance giving time to prepare. Knowledge of the Catholic mass is beneficial, but not required.

The pay is $75 - $100 per service, based on experience and the position is available beginning in December.
