Direct Report: Director of Advancement

Father Ryan High School’s Advancement Department is seeking an Alumni Engagement & Outreach Manager to organize and coordinate alumni programs and services designed to foster and strengthen the relationship between Father Ryan High School and its alumni.

The Alumni Engagement & Outreach Manager reports directly to the Director of Advancement and works collaboratively with the broader Advancement Team to execute events and other initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fundraising, sales, event management, and/or communications
• Demonstrated ability to develop, direct, and coordinate multiple programs and activities
• Strong desire and natural ability to engage and connect with people
• Knowledge of and involvement in the Father Ryan High School community, history, and relationships, and willingness to develop an in-depth understanding of our alumni constituents
• Graduate of Father Ryan High School

The primary responsibilities include:

• Promoting and fostering effective alumni relations on a regular basis through Irish Ayes and e-blasts; through personal correspondence, phone conversations and emails; through presence/visibility within the community; and through planned events.

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive alumni support program that fulfills the mission of Father Ryan while increasing the level of engagement of the alumni segment by cultivating meaningful relationships. This responsibility includes collaborating with the Annual Fund and Constituent Relations Manager in all activities associated with the Alumni segment of the Annual Fund, including the recruitment of Class Representatives.

• Developing annual goals and priorities for the Alumni Association.
• Planning, coordinating, and promoting alumni events such as Reunion Weekend activities (including the Lou Graham ’56 Alumni Golf Tournament), Veteran’s Day Breakfast, Ryan Nation Nights, Irish Easter Egg Hunt, and Young Alumni & Senior Lunch.
• Recruiting volunteers to staff events. Identifying Reunion Planning Committee members and assisting them with their parties by providing a checklist, suggested vendors, and class lists.

• Serving as the Father Ryan staff liaison to the Alumni Board.
• Developing and arranging publicity and promotional materials for alumni functions and/or services.

• Monitoring the Father Ryan High School – Alumni Facebook Group.
• Recruiting alumni to join Irish Connect.
• Serving as a resource to alumni and others regarding Father Ryan High School alumni, programs, and activities.
• Updating the alumni database to ensure accurate, detailed information.
• Fulfilling other responsibilities as determined by the President and/or Director of Advancement.
