General Description:

The Assistant to Siena Hall Coordinator assists the Siena Hall Coordinator with various aspects of the operation of the Siena Hall Conference Center and the Aquinas Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant to the Siena Hall Coordinator must be consistent at all times, in example and expression, with the tenets and morals of the Roman Catholic faith as articulated by the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church. The Assistant to the Siena Hall Coordinator must witness by her/his public behavior, actions, and words a life consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church and supportive of the mission of Aquinas College.
  • The Assistant to the Siena Hall Coordinator is a point of contact for groups during their use of Siena Hall or the Aquinas Center, ensuring that groups are aware of all relevant policies and procedures, providing daily check-ins, and communicating as needed with the group using Aquinas facilities.
  • The Assistant to the Siena Hall Coordinator performs regular inspections of Siena Hall and the Aquinas Center to ensure that all is orderly and clean, that all necessary supplies are restocked as needed, and that all amenities are working properly.
  • The Assistant to the Siena Hall Coordinator assists with various special events, gatherings, and luncheons for Aquinas College.
  • The Assistant to the Siena Hall Coordinator performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Siena Hall Coordinator.

Qualifications:

The individual fulfilling this position would need to have strong positive interpersonal communication skills, as the position would require working well with a variety of people. He or she would need to be able to work independently and possess personal initiative and a strong work ethic. This position would work closely with and be under the direct supervision of the Siena Hall Coordinator. Flexibility in hours is required in order to meet conference center and client need. If desired, this position could be available as an internship.

Commitment:

Hours are flexible, based on schedule of events at Siena Hall and the Aquinas Center. The anticipated time commitment is 2-8 hours/week, with May/June/July the busiest.
