Interim Math Teacher - Algebra and Pre-Algebra, Grade 6-8
Description

St. Bernard Academy (Nashville, TN) seeks an energetic Mathematics teacher with the skills and desire to support St. Bernard Academy in the areas of student growth, responsibility, and creativity. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a team of professionals in an educational environment that is progressive and fast paced. The full-time position begins immediately and concludes at the end of the first semester. At the discretion of the Head of School, the candidate may seek to extend employment by applying for a non-interim position for the second semester.

Position requirements: Candidates will be expected to have an undergraduate and/or advanced degree in Mathematics or a related field and have experience working with upper elementary-age and/or middle grades students.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Full-time teaching, Grades 6-8, Algebra and Pre-Algebra
  • Collaboration and professional approach to all interactions with colleagues, students and parents
  • Work with the school community to connect SBA to the broader community

SBA is a co-ed, independent, Catholic day school serving 370 students in levels JK-4 through eight. Located in the Hillsboro Village area of Nashville, Tennessee, it is within walking distance to Vanderbilt University and Belmont University.
