St. Bernard Academy (Nashville, TN) seeks an energetic teacher with the skills and desire to support St. Bernard Academy in the areas of student growth, responsibility, and creativity. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a team of professionals in an educational environment that is progressive and fast paced. The full-time position begins August 1, 2024.
Position requirements: Candidates will be expected to have an undergraduate and/or advanced degree and have experience teaching mathematics and working with upper elementary-age students. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of the Catholic faith and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Full-time teaching
- Collaboration and professional approach to all interactions with colleagues, students and parents
- Work with the school community to connect SBA to the broader community
Compensation – This is a school year position. Salary is dependent on education, experience, and teaching assignment; Benefits include a tuition remission plan for children of employee, health and dental insurance, worker’s compensation, short-term and long-term disability, group life insurance, retirement plan, and eligibility for professional enrichment and continuing education.
SBA is a co-ed, independent, Catholic day school serving 370 students in levels PreK-3 through eight. Located in the Hillsboro Village area of Nashville, Tennessee, it is within walking distance to Vanderbilt University and Belmont University.
