St. Cecilia Academy, a Catholic college-preparatory high school for young women owned and administered by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation since 1860, seeks a dynamic and mission-driven dance instructor to grow its Dance Academy with excellence and integrity.

St. Cecilia Academy is seeking a part-time dance instructor beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts
• Experience teaching dance at all levels, most importantly junior high
• Experience in dance curriculum design with a focus on the logical and safe matriculation of dancers with solid technique and artistry.
• A passion for teaching and a deep understanding of how the study of dance imparts wisdom for living, as it reflects both a particular culture while expressing universal truths of human existence
• Additional employment possibly includes: teaching for St. Cecilia Dance Academy, directing/supervising the SCA students’ Seasons Dance Company, teaching dance camps during the summer as part of Camp St. Cecilia, choreographing school musical
• Interested candidates should be competent professionals and witnesses of personal integrity committed to the Roman Catholic mission of St. Cecilia Academy.
