The Diocese of Owensboro is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide leadership and oversight of all diocesan financial operations in support of the mission of the Catholic Church.
The CFO is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, audits, investments, employee benefits, risk management, and information technology. This role serves as a key advisor to the Bishop and collaborates closely with the Diocesan Finance Council and other consultative bodies. This senior leadership role serves as a key advisor to the Bishop and provides strategic direction for budgeting, financial planning, accounting, investments, audits, risk management, employee benefits, and information technology.
Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (C PA or Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 10 years of senior-level financial leadership experience

Active, practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church

Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, investments, audits, and nonprofit finance

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively across the Diocese
Evening, weekend, and travel availability required. Successful completion of a background check is required.
