Saint Henry School in Nashville, serving over 700 students, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, seeks an experienced School Counselor to join our supportive school environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan individual solution-focused counseling, small groups, and drop-in crisis counseling to help in the academic development and personal/social growth of students.
- Organize classroom counseling lessons on topics such as bullying, conflict resolution, peer relations, and others to be discussed with administration.
- Coordinate with outside agencies to enrich the counseling curriculum.
- Manage teacher, parent, and outside agency (therapists, doctors, etc.) consultations to discuss student concerns and track progress.
- Develop plans of action that will assist the student in reaching his/her fullest potential.
- Provides administrative support.

Requirements:
- A. or M. S. degree in Counselor Education and/or other counseling-related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching and/or school-based counseling, preferably in an elementary and/or middle school environment
- Valid Tennessee issued certificate and/or license
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
