Dance Instructor
Description

St. Cecilia Academy is seeking a dance instructor for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Specific Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts 
  • Experience teaching dance at all levels, most importantly junior high and high school
  • Experience with choreography for dance concerts and musicals
  • Experience with dance curriculum design with a focus on growing dancers logically and safely through a program
  • A passion for teaching and a deep understanding of how the study of dance imparts wisdom for living, as it reflects both a particular culture while expressing universal truths of human existence
  • Additional employment could include: teaching for St. Cecilia Dance Academy, directing/supervising the SCA students’ Seasons Dance Company, teaching dance camps during the summer as part of Camp St. Cecilia, choreographing school musical
  • Experience in the disciplines of theater, music, and drama is preferred.
  • Interested candidates should be competent professionals and witnesses of personal integrity committed to the Roman Catholic mission of St. Cecilia Academy.
