Saint Matthew Catholic School, located in Franklin, Tennessee, seeks a mission driven 1st Grade school teacher.  We are looking for a teacher who has a high level of classroom management and excellent communication and collaboration skills.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for elementary school students.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the requirements of the curriculum
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an actively practicing Catholic who has a desire to share the faith with students.
• Hold a valid teaching license or at a minimum have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and demonstrate proficiency in the content area taught.
• Utilize technology in the classroom for teaching and learning.
• Work in partnership with teachers, specialists, support staff, and administration.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, staff members, and the community.
• Be committed to academic excellence and a willingness to meet the educational needs of the individual student.
