About the Early Learning Center: Nativity Early Learning Center (NELC) was established in 2020 at the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee to serve parishioners and the surrounding community. NELC offers an early childhood program for children ages 2-5 and strives to provide a play-based, creative learning atmosphere where children can investigate and explore their world in a hands-on environment. NELC operates in partnership with the Catholic Church of the Nativity to offer a Catholic education curriculum to our students and encourages gospel values to be modeled and lived by our staff.

About the Role: Oversees the planning, execution and management of school’s function; including hiring and training of staff, classroom setup and maintenance, budget and financial oversight, partnering with families to ensure the success of the student body and collaborating with Church ministries and outside agencies to ensure the success of the school’s operation.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate continued growth of the School including staff, classroom facilities and student body
• Develop and implement infrastructure of School including policies, curriculum, and procedures
• Manage staff of 10+ including teachers, assistants and support staff including day-to-day tasks, scheduling and ongoing professional development
• Maintain a balanced budget; including management of tuition/payments, scholarships, donations, fundraising and expenses.
• Collaborate with staff on in-classroom experiences and School special events
• Plan and present religion lessons to whole School

Candidate Requirements:

• Passionate about the development of the whole child in a faith-based setting
• 5 years or more in Early Education work experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Possess strong leadership skills and ability to inspire teaching staff
• Ability to use online programs such as Google Drive/Sheets/Document and childcare management software
• 18 years or older
• High School diploma or higher required, preferably a college degree with Early Education emphasis
• Must be able to lift 50lb, actively participate with young children in a classroom setting
