St. James School is seeking a full-time Middle School ELA Teacher (Grades 6–8) for the 2026–2027 school year. St. James is a diverse Catholic school community dedicated to academic excellence, strong relationships, and the formation of the whole child. Our middle school program emphasizes rigorous instruction, student responsibility, and preparation for success in high school and beyond. The middle school teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide engaging instruction that supports and challenges students.

● Use differentiated instruction to meet a range of learning needs

● Establish clear expectations and strong classroom management practices

● Foster critical thinking, independence, and student engagement

● Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and administration

● Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Requirements

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field

● Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain one)

● Experience working with middle school students in an educational setting
