Welcome to the Diocese of Nashville Archives

Our purpose is to collect, preserve, and make available for research the official records of the Diocese of Nashville and those ancillary records that reflect the work of the Church within the Diocese.

Our Archives operates following Canon Law 482, which invests the Chancellor with the responsibility for the archives. The Archives Coordinator reports to the Chancellor and is granted authorized faculties to fulfill this mandate.

We welcome your inquiries and will make every attempt to make available and extend available materials to researchers as allowed by canon law, civil law, and privacy considerations.
