We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our team and provide exceptional instruction to students in grades 6-8, teaching Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra.

Position Summary

The Math Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to students in grades 6 through 8. This individual will provide engaging, challenging, and faith-centered lessons that not only strengthen students' math skills but also nurture their growth as thoughtful and compassionate individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong Catholic identity, a deep understanding of middle school math concepts, and the ability to integrate faith with academics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver effective, faith-integrated lessons in Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra for students in grades 6-8.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to excel.
  • Design assessments, assignments, and activities to monitor and support student progress.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance in mastering math concepts.
  • Foster the spiritual growth of students by incorporating Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
  • Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic faith in daily interactions and instruction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).
  • Valid Tennessee Teaching License with endorsement in middle school mathematics.
  • Proven experience teaching math at the middle school level (grades 6-8), including Pre-Algebra and Algebra (preferred).
  • Strong Catholic identity and commitment to living out the values of the Catholic faith in the classroom.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to integrate faith and academics effectively.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential, both academically and spiritually.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or Mathematics.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and individualized learning plans.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom, including educational software and interactive learning tools.
