St. Edward School, conveniently located in the city of Nashville, is seeking a part-time teacher of Technology.  Candidates should possess strong classroom management skills and be an excellent communicator.  Candidates should be committed to the mission of the school and have a passion for creating a positive learning environment.  Teacher will provide instruction on general computer skills, Microsoft365 suite, researching, and digital citizenship.  In addition, teacher will provide instruction for 6^th-8^th grade students in an elective class, Digital Media.  This course produces a student developed newspaper, podcast, morning announcement show, and yearbook.  Must be willing to work collaboratively to further support the mission and vision of the Catholic school.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the requirements of the curriculum
• Have the flexibility to adapt instruction for all grade levels
• Work collaboratively with teachers to schedule weekly classes for grades K-5^th
• Work collaboratively with Junior High teachers to integrate age-appropriate tech skills into general subjects
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Have ability to facilitate multiple student projects simultaneously in a Digital Media junior high elective
• During the Digital Media class, facilitate the production of a school newspaper quarterly, produce a morning announcement show once each week, and produce a school yearbook annually

Requirements:

• Work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30am-3:30pm
• Support the Catholic faith and the mission of the school
• Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and demonstrate proficiency in the content area taught
• Utilize the appropriate technology for teaching and learning
• Be committed to academic excellence and a willingness to meet the educational needs of each student
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
